Layover is a romantic comedy told in 8 sequences, over 8 days, in 88 minutes. The film is entirely improvised, built on 12 weeks of rehearsal. During that time, we developed characters from the inside out, shaped relationships, explored intentions, and experimented with conversations that feel lived-in and real.

Each sequence explores a different stage in the 8 steps of falling in love, charting an emotional arc that’s as structured as it is spontaneous. This process helped capture the heart of the story and we’re excited to share the layered, playful, and heartfelt journey that we took to create Layover.
